In addition to a TIAFT Young Scientists Symposium and vendor seminars, the scientific programme consists of oral presentations and posters around the theme of “Applications of Toxicology in the 21st Century”. Topics for abstract submission should be categorised as follows; post-mortem toxicology (PM), clinical toxicology (CT), human behaviour toxicology – to include drug driving (HB), drug-facilitated crime (DFC), employment/occupational toxicology (EO), toxicology in sport (SP), new innovations & novel research in toxicology (NE). The intention is for presentations to show an application of the work within one of the designated toxicology work types, with particular emphasis on case data (where possible) and associated results, interpretation and significance to the field.
The scientific sessions are expected to run between 8:30am and 5:20pm (including lunch and breaks) with oral presentations consisting of a 10 minute presentation with 2 minutes for questions - and please ask questions.
All posters will be e-posters – except for Young Scientists who will have traditional fixed poster boards and will need to produce physical posters. E-posters should be produced in, for example, MS Powerpoint and saved as a pdf. E-posters must be in portrait format (not landscape) to be viewed within the Event App using smartphones or the LCD screens at the conference. There will be no poster sessions, instead delegates and authors can link up through the Event App and arrange a time for discussion of the poster.
In addition to full week delegate registrations to include the social programme, day-attending delegates can register for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday day rates (not including social programme). As many of the social events will have capped capacity, it is important to register early to guarantee this aspect of the conference.
